The company

PeopleCert is a global leader in the assessment and certification of professional skills, partnering with multi-national organisations and government bodies to develop and deliver market leading exams worldwide.

 

PeopleCert manages the entire process of examining and certifying individuals in a broad and internationally recognized portfolio of 500 certification programs in areas such as Information Technology, Project Management and Language Learning. It is contracted with 10,000 testing centers worldwide and has 9,000 external partners.

 

Meeting a Group's average annual growth rate of 40%, it is clear that the Group's monitoring and management needs are growing rapidly.

Business Challenge

PeopleCert Group, aiming at  the optimization of its business processes to better manage and serve its extensive customer network, has sought a modern, international ERP solution together with a Procurement Management Information System, operating on Microsoft Azure and ensuring:

 

  • Seamless integration of all communication and transactions with certification centers, regardless of contact channels or information systems (Passport, Eliss, CRM, Master Data Hub)
  • Multi-Company & Multi-Currency management in a common ERP database (7 companies in Greece, England and Turkey)
  • Seamless integration of ERP & Procurement Management systems aiming at the continuous monitoring of the entire procurement cycle, ensuring approval flows, audits & integration with other information systems
  • Management of complex pricing policies within a single ERP solution that responds to existing and future needs of PeopleCert
  • Centralized financial processes for consolidated Group Results

The solution

To meet the above requirements, PeopleCert chose Data Communication as a trusted partner with long-term experience in implementing relevant projects. Data Communication responded with Microsoft Dynamics NAV - InnovEra on Azure, a globally leading ERP solution, and DC e-Procurement web app, implementing the following:

 

Interfaces with 3rd party systems:

  • MDH, a basis for consolidation and shared management of entity-specific code, to depict consolidated bundled results and ensure the smooth operation of the required interfaces
  • PASSPORT, International Language Exam & Language Management & Administration System for automated:
  1. B2B International billing
  2. Pricing B2B / B2C LanguageCert
  3. B2B Credit Control
  4. Pricing B2C International
  5. REFUND B2C International number on the website for reference
  • EliSS, ECDL, ECDL Exam, ECDL Management & Execution System

Seamless integration:

  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV - InnovEra on Azure & DC e-Procurement web app to ensure control of any available budget of supplies. expenditure requests, completion of Order management, incomplete orders & deficit receipts, warehouse & accounting updates
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV - InnovEra on Azure & Dynamics 365 for Sales for wider customer and partner management
  • DC e-Procurement web app with existing HR system aiming at obtaining necessary employee data & organization charts, ensuring proper access rights & approval procedures in the system

Both projects were deployed according the international Microsoft Sure Step project implementation methodology.

With the release of Dynamics 365 Business Central, Peoplecert leverages the upgraded capabilities of Dynamics 365 Business Central - InnovEra.
